The strawberry patch is located near the barn. We have a gravel drive and flat grass parking. You will be able to walk directly to the fields from parking. We do have parking directly next to the fields should you need to park closer.
Riley Ridge Farm is open seasonally. We will typically pick strawberries early in the morning (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM) and later in the evening (4:00 PM - 8:00 PM). We will try to update hours and field conditions as often as we can on social media.
The start of the strawberry season varies each year. We typically have two to three weeks of peak season and two to three weeks of smaller berries.
2025 Prices: $20/gallon for Farmer Picked Berries and $16/ gallon for U-Pick Strawberries.
Prices are based on quarts and gallons and not by weight.
Riley Ridge Farms can accept cash payments and Venmo if you need an electronic option.
The Riley Family has tried several strawberry varieties through the years, but we find Honeoye Strawberries to be our favorite. They are the right amount of sweet and tart, and they have a solid red pith. We do not use pesticides on our strawberries. This is also why we grow a June bearing variety with an early season.
We allow you to borrow our wooden gallon handy with quart containers. After picking we'll transfer berries to cardboard. You are welcome to bring your own containers too. Shallow containers work best. Buckets and large bowls tend to smash berries at the bottom. We'll try to keep everything in flat containers for packaging. It is best to process or prepare berries right away. Do bring water to drink, especially if you are picking in the afternoon. Knee pads or small stools are optional. Camp chairs are too large to fit between the rows of the field.
Due to the nature of U-Pick produce, we ask that pets not be brought into the field. Do not run or hop through the fields. The rows are often very wide, so chances of smashing berries is high. Please do not spray insect spray or sunscreen in the field. We have designated areas in the gravel drive for that.
